Frequently asked questions.
Do I have to completely quit alcohol to work with you?
Not necessarily. My coaching isn’t about strict rules or judgment. It’s about helping you build awareness, make choices you feel good about, and regain control over your relationship with alcohol - whatever that looks like for you.
Can you help if I’m physically dependent on alcohol?
No - and it’s really important to be clear on this.
My coaching is not suitable for anyone who is physically dependent on alcohol or in need of medical detox or clinical support. If that might be you, please speak to your GP or a medical professional first.
What makes your coaching different?
I’ve lived it. I’m not preaching from a manual - I’ve walked the path myself. I understand the pressure of balancing a career, family life, fitness, and the quiet frustration of knowing alcohol is holding you back. My approach is practical, personal, and built around your goals.
Is this confidential?
Absolutely. Everything we discuss stays between us. I create a safe space where you can be open without fear of judgment.
Do I need to label myself as “sober” or in recovery?
Nope. This is not AA, and there are no labels required. You don’t need to identify a certain way to get support. All you need is a willingness to explore change.
How are the sessions structured?
Sessions are 1:1 and tailored to you. We start with where you are now, clarify where you want to be, and create a realistic plan to help you get there. That might include tools, mindset shifts, habits, and ongoing support.
How often will we meet?
Most clients find weekly or fortnightly sessions work well to build momentum and stay accountable. But the schedule is flexible - we’ll work out what suits you best.
What if I’ve tried to stop before and it didn’t work?
That’s okay. Many of my clients have. You’re not starting from scratch - you’re starting with experience. I’ll help you uncover what’s been getting in the way and build a new strategy that works.
Is coaching right for me?
